Information for residents and family
A good and safe night’s sleep is one of the most important foundations for good health. Digital supervision is the welfare technology that provides the most value for residents, whether they live at home or in an institution.
It may seem a little scary to have a camera in the room that will “monitor” you or your loved ones. Only healthcare personnel will have access to audio and video. Supervision is normally only carried out when an alarm has been triggered – because the resident needs help.
If necessary, supervision is also planned (a digital visit). This is carried out by agreement to check that everything is good. This means that the camera is normally only active for about 3-4 minutes every day. When the camera is not active, it works as a sensor that looks after and notifies the healthcare personnel if someone needs help, e.g. if a resident falls, or does not return from a visit to the toilet.
This also gives the healthcare personnel greater security and a better opportunity to plan and carry out their tasks. Nattugla is approved by Norsk Helsenett.
